Our Client has big plans regarding the products and services they are going to provide to their customers in the coming months and years. To ensure they are set up to successfully deliver upon these ambitious plans, They are looking to recruit several key roles into the business. They are seeking an Automation Tester and this role is fundamental to these future plans.

 In this role you will work alongside the Delivery team to support the release of innovative products and solutions for the business.


The Automation Tester (selenium, postman, SoapUI, python and web testing) will be the first of its type to join the business, therefore you must be confident in your skills and approach whilst working either in a team of developers, testers or solo.


You will be responsible for leading automation test activity, advising on the scope of testing, estimating test effort, creating and reviewing test documentation, reporting on test progress and ensuring developments are delivered to a high quality.


This role will have a lot of creative freedom, setting up automation testing scripts from scratch using the tools of your choice.


The Automation Tester will identify the automation opportunities to build and release the test process; this will be for both front end and back end web applications, API's and deployments. As the Automation Tester you will maintain awareness of new technologies and be responsible for introducing new technologies.

What you will have

An experienced manager who not only is technically strong but also is able to direct a team enthusiastically and with strong communication skills. You must be able to demonstrate extensive automation test knowledge and be able to develop, configure, code and test automation with high complexity, including the testing of API services. Knowledge of Cypress and Selenium is a must along with knowledge of continuous integration and deployment tools. In-depth knowledge of AWS will be highly regarded.


  • Create/maintain automated dashboard to support quality view of the application under test
  • Execute automated/manual tests as required
  • Assist QA manager in managing day-to-day test Automation activities, such as test monitoring and status reporting at the end of the testing day
  • Plan for automation suits and execution to against the run plans
  • High coding standards to support future proving of the framework & test scripts
  • Ensure constructive working relationships within team
  • Execute tests, track and monitor defects to closure
  • Increase coverage of Automation packs and pass rate in the Release Testing cycle as instructed by the Automation Lead



Role Requirements:

  • Automation testing experience - using languages such as JavaScript or Python or similar languages
  • Experience with Selenium or Specflow and BDD with Gherkin or Cucumber
  • Experience in using SQL or other similar Database management systems
  • Hands on experience with web application testing on both front and back end
  • SDLC and STLC experience
  • Jira and GIT working experience
  • Agile, Scrum
  • Beneficial if you have Cloud exposure / experience
