Business Development Account Manager – Digital Marketing

  • Basic salary is £22,000 - £27,000 DOE with £45,000 on-target earnings, with uncapped bonus potential.

  • Leeds City Centre, with some travel to see clients around the wider area.

We’re thrilled to be working with a well-established, first-of-its-kind and much-loved Leeds brand to recruit Business Development Account Managers to be part of their ambitious growth plan.

We're looking for people with a strong interest in digital, advertising, and content marketing, as well as a thorough understanding of the wider industry and consumer behaviours

As our new Business Development Account Manager, you’ll need to understand and interrogate new markets and clients to determine if they’re a good fit for what we do, then explain the value we can deliver. Ours isn’t a standard ad product, we question and learn everything about potential clients. This means a high level of intelligence and a charismatic personality are essential.

We’re looking for someone that can speak with confidence, conviction, someone that's able to achieve a positive outcome even from a prickly negotiation.

Ideally, we’re also looking for someone with commercial experience in digital media (agency, production or client-side), but we'll take someone who has the will and drive to become familiar with everything from analytics, to tracking and engagement.

Ideal Person:

  • Educated to degree level (at least 2.1) or have outstanding commercial experience in relevant fields.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in sales.
  • Motivated self-starters with good time-management skills and quick, accurate admin skills to keep the CRM and documents up to date.
  • Brilliant communicators. Your ability to listen intently, understand, question, read non-verbal signs, problem solve and resolve conflict are essential parts of this role.
  • A very high standard of written English is required, producing emails, presentations, and proposals at the professional level we expect. You’ll be conveying information, demonstrating value and will know how to create a reaction.
  • Driven by creating and fostering good relationships which leads to good performance and results.
  • Highly familiar with IT, the internet and online media.
  • Experience using a Mac is advantageous.
  • Being well organised is important as you’ll be managing your own day, with scope to manage a team.
