Creative Front-End Developer

  • Leeds

  • £28,000 to £35,000 DOE

Interested in research, design, search marketing or A/B testing? This could be the role for you.

Our client, based just outside of Leeds city centre, design and build ecommerce stores for some of the UK & Ireland’s leading brands and retailers. They love using technology and design to create engaging and high-converting experiences for their clients. They are a creatively-led business, who don’t deal in cookie-cutter experiences or simple ‘best practice’.

They build transactional websites and like to understand how to make them perform better - to do that they need to consider data, user behaviour, psychology and our clients’ products and services.

You will be working on highly popular online stores meaning you can see your work being used and see its effects. This is a real opportunity to also design and lead the front-end technology stack that the company use going forward, therefore you will have a real influence in how the company develops and builds.

The Ideal Person:

Whilst technology will be your specialism, we want more than that. We’re looking for someone with an enquiring mind, who has broader interests than the tech alone.

  • Tech Stack: HTML, CSS/SASS, Javascript & jQuery
  • Able to work with UI Designers to translate designs into seamless digital experiences
  • A good communicator, able to articulate the approach you’ve taken in your work
  • Another plus would be experience with ecommerce platforms: Magento, Shopify or Salesforce Commerce Cloud
  • Confident, friendly and mature; you’re a true team player.

Ideally, you’ll have experience within ecommerce - either agency or client-side. If you haven’t but can demonstrate how you’ve practiced human-centred thinking in your work we’d really like to speak to you.

Please ensure you also provide a working link to your portfolio / GitHub with your application as this is essential when reviewing all applicants for this role.
