We’re thrilled to be working with one of the UK’s leading specialty machinists and suppliers of plastic that due to continued growth, are currently looking for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Pudsey, Leeds.        

The role of Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer is to provide technical drawings, CAD models and parts lists for the use by the Production Team.

You will work proactively with all levels of staffing and management to ensure a high standard of work, to specification and in a timely manner.

The Successful Person:

• Will be able to work with minimal supervision, and efficiently schedule and manage their time accordingly.
• Have excellent communication, interpersonal, listening, oral, and written skills, and be competent liaising with all levels of management.
• Will be able to generate 3D models of components and assemblies. Create parts lists, BOM’s and working drawings to be used for manufacture.
• Have the ability to work under pressure, to prioritise and meet deadlines, backed with excellent computer literacy and a very good understanding of technical drawings.
• Have excellent time management, organisational and problem-solving skills and an eye for detail, ensuring the ability to produce clear and well-formatted documents.
• Willingness to develop professionally and maintain up to date knowledge relevant to the role.
• Ability and willingness to work out of normal office hours if required.
