Junior Integration Developer

£23k - £35k (Dependent upon experience)

Our client is an international company which helps organisations to simplify business processes, improve performance and drive results through innovative SaaS business solutions.

The successful candidate will be a diligent individual that displays initiative, eagerness to learn and takes pride in their work. Someone who loves data / data science and has some experience with databases, coding with an object orientated language and data analysis.

 Ideally with 2 years plus commercial work experience and looking for opportunities to expand their experience further by working on various projects in a fast-paced global environment. This individual will be given an opportunity, through support and flexibility, to become a skilled Integration Developer.

Team & Role Overview

The team has responsibilities for the design, development, and implementation of Integrations between the companies SaaS products and their customers 3rd party systems. The company develops and supports both standard and customer specific integrations using their own integration platform. 

You will be working in a small, distributed team managing and deploying integrations to customers globally. You initially will be involved with the support and maintenance of existing integrations, and development of new integrations against pre-agreed specifications before gaining an opportunity to move your career forward into the full lifecycle management of an integration project.

Responsibilities

You will initially work closely with several members of the Integrations team and attend several internal training courses including our own product training. This ensures you build your knowledge and experience quickly, although it is anticipated that for the first 12 months there will be a relatively steep learning curve, exciting and challenging!

  • Support and Maintenance of both standard and bespoke integrations.
  • Implement change requests on existing integrations.
  • Build new integrations from pre-agreed specifications.
  • Support Business Analysts/Consultants providing feedback on technical requirements and requests.
  • Follow company guidelines for programming and documentation.

 

Main Tools & Technologies used

  • Jitterbit (Integration Platform)
  • Powershell
  • Postman
  • SQL.
  • Rest and Soap Web Services, working with both JSON and XML

Requirements & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or similar)
  • 2+ year of commercial experience desirable but not essential
  • Some experience of writing code for commercial purposes will be useful
  • Good technical aptitude with the ability to quickly assess the requirements and capabilities of 3rd party systems. 
  • A good understanding of relational database concepts.
  • Good level of Analytical, Problem solving and Logical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work under-pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • A passion for new technologies, especially web technologies.
  • Good level of interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven pro-active, self-starter with the ability to work both as an individual and within a team to resolve issues
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
