We thrilled to be working with a niche, international law firm with offices in the USA, Europe and Asia, who serve business through law and science. The firm comprise of lawyers but also scientists.  They help companies around the world solve problems where law and science overlap, solving legal problems with a scientific dimension. They're looking for a recent law graduate or legally qualified person to join their team in Brussels to be trained-up as an Associate.

The Ideal Person:

  • Recent law graduate or legally qualified person
  • No experience required but some experience is an advantage
  • Native English speaking, but also preferably speaks (fluent or good) another EU language such as; German, Spanish, Italian or other EU language
  • Wants to work in Brussels, Belgium (and become a qualified lawyer in Belgium or in an EU country)
  • Has an interest in the environment/food/food packaging issues, potentially with a scientific background or interest in science
  • Naturally hard-working, dedicated and driven
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Working with both lawyers and scientists together, in a multi-disciplinary approach to problem-solving. 
  • Writing clear English succinctly, so that people who have English as a second language, can quickly understand an issue and solution. 
  • Willing to learn and grow, both independently and from the people around you
  • With a strong sense of self-responsibility and desire to produce the best-possible results.
  • Attention to detail is important
  • A self-starter who can work on their own to either solve a problem or to get to the crux of a problem or issue
  • This area of law demands: a long-term desire to succeed while working in a small team of people; someone able to get on with people from different national/social backgrounds
