Technical Officer – Infrastructure – Part-Time

We’re delighted to be working with one of the UK’s leading digital forensic companies who are currently looking for a part-time Technical Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain technical and accurate audit records for each activity undertaken
  • Maintain effective ethical communication with internal and external customers and other relevant external sources. Communicated information must be recorded and may be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Drive the design, testing, and maintenance of the company’s court products and their derivatives.
  • Write and code individual programmes AV installations.
  • Work closely with the Directors to develop and maintain IT / Cybersecurity systems.
  • Liaise with clients and attend presentations and conferences.
  • Present and implement ideas for system improvements.
  • Testing updates to the product in controlled real situations.
  • Maintain existing systems and update to current versions.
  • Assist in the development of other or existing products used by the company.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of software development and industry innovation.
  • Maintain a current and up to date working knowledge of digital forensics, in particular, its presentation and technology transfer opportunities.

The Ideal Person:

  • Qualifications for the role includes completion of an Infrastructure technician at Level 3 & Level 4 or other relevant experience in computing and IT
  • Working within a quality environment and small team
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Naturally confident and willing and able to work independently
  • Able to work under pressure and be highly self-motivated
  • Engage in professional development (training opportunities are provided)
  • Work to identified processes and procedures
  • Act at all times with integrity, confidentiality, and impartiality
  • Actively engage in the core company business as defined by the Board of Directors
  • Willing to undertake external and internal training courses in cybersecurity, computer analysis, and software development.
